Shark Tank Tour

Welcome to the Shark Tank! In this guide you will find out the fundamental things that you need to know prior entering. For two years, young sharks who enter will improve their knowledge that will help them to do well when they turn into fully grown sharks.

Today we made a slide animation tour to help Year 6s that are coming to our class next year. Our class's nickname (I guess) is Hub Mako which relates to the mako shark; why I had the shark idea. In the session, I loved making the animations and actually making the textbox pictures move in and out of the page. This was overall a really fun project - what are your thoughts?

Painting Transformation

Today we learnt about a site that allows change the colour of famous
paintings and pictures. Using what we had learnt from a video that we
watched earlier, we played around with different pictures and photos
that were already on the site. After testing many pictures, I decided that
the Taj Mahal looked the best because of all the colours and how the are
shaded. By the way the name of the site was Art Colouring Book;
I forgot to mention it earlier.

My 'Opinion' on Media

Today we were sent off to do a task about something all around the world; it was about Media. Before starting the poster we watched a few videos about what Media is and to get an overall idea about it. Planning was what we did next. I think that Media is basically a way that people can share their opinions what something is. For example - the TV - where on the News there are many people arguing and stating what they think is right. I also think that Media, which is not all in a Digital platform, can come in things like Magazines and Newspapers. What do you think Media is? What could I improve on?

Try To Beat My Amazing Game

This is a game that I with the help of the tutors created on Microsoft Makecode Arcade. While making the code, I found it fun to test it to see if it worked the way it should. Coding, which was overall quite new, did challenge me in some parts. At first we were given the time to create our background which included platforms, rewards and dangers for our sprite. That part wasn't challenging but at first I was sort of lost because I had very few experiences playing those types of games but I got a idea of what I am meant to create from the Mario Game. When coding, you have to be very specific so that your are not missing anything out. Making rewards improve the score and dangers lowering hearts was a challenge. Whenever I finished doing doing a main part of coding, I would replay my game to check if it works how I want it to. After finishing, I was incredibly proud of my work mainly because I never thought that I would get to create my own game. To play my game Click Here. What is something that you think I can improve on to make my game better?

Tipu Guide

Tipu is a site that teaches people the basics of Te Reo Maori. It teaches us how to write and pronounce words as well as short phrases. Over  couple of weeks, I a confident in saying that I have learnt more Maori than I have ever before. After receiving a notebook, I recorded the words that I learnt and practiced a bit. This is a brilliant way to teach Maori!

ICT Outdoors Sharp Video

We were learning about unpacking the text that we were reading and then make an interview video of the characters using WeVideo. WeVideo allowed us to make many videos that we could put together to make this. We could also put in Music from that site as background music. I found it easy to write the script this time. Something I found a bit challenging was doing the acting. Next time I want to try and use a bit more expression when acting. If there is there anything that you think I / we could do to improve this video write it down in the comments.

Try Out My Tipu Game!

We were learning about Creating character using Piskel and then using Scratch
to make a game. I found it easy to write the questions on the code. I found it hard
to make my character on Piskel because of all the colours. Next time I want to maybe
work on a different background to make it look more like Minecraft.

Roland Fish Sharp Video

We were learning about unpacking a text and making a interview video as the characters of an event.
I was the cameraman. What I found quite easy was to find a good way to present the video. I found it quite hard to write the script so that the interview flowed smoothly. Next time I should probably try and include me so that our whole group is there.

Persuasive Essay!

Design created with PosterMyWall
We learning about writing a persuasive essay, editing then using PosterMyWall for the
presentation. I found it easy to get transfer my working to PosterMyWall and make it look
good. I found it a little bit hard to go back to fix and finish my essay. I really enjoyed the
part where I was able to make my work stand out. Next time I would need to make my
reasons stronger and maybe clearer.

Mr Shark! My Piskel Character

We were learning about how to create something on Piskel to use in one of our tasks. I found it easy to get the shape of the Shark because I am quite good at art. I found it hard to use the site at first because there were so many tools. I really enjoyed animating it using many slides ( two above). Next time I need to maybe get an example photo so I can get a more accurate picture.

COVID19 Lockdown Reflection!

We were learning to use WeVideo and make a 4-videos-in-one Reflection of our COVID19 Lockdown. The most challenging part for me was getting the time on all four videos right so that it could run smoothly. The easiest part was putting the videos together on WeVideo and editing them. Next time I will more confident in what I am doing.

ANZAC Background Art

I loved using the Canvas tool to create my ANZAC background. I enjoyed
being able to shade different colours together to show light directions. A
challenge was drawing the straight lines on the grave, so at the end I did it
on Google Drawings.
